Born in 1994. Lives and works in Paris.
Prosper Legault’s practice straddles the border between sculpture and poetry. Using remnants of signs and street furniture gleaned from his wanderings through cities and suburbs, he produces three-dimensional collages. Prosper’s art transcribes globalization and its excesses, the way capitals digest and mix the objects and cultures from which they originate. He introduces an everyday life that is usually barely visible in the exhibition space. He also writes songs, which have been heard on Fip and Radio Nova, and two mixtapes have been released on the Red Lebanese label. [Adaptation of a text by Charlotte Cosson]
