Against a backdrop of a resurgence in cultural and artistic activity, private collectors constitute a major asset in supporting creation. As outstanding ambassadors for artists, playing a vital role in the long-term promotion of our art scene in France and abroad, collectors have always been the natural and indispensable partners of art galleries. This is why the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art (CPGA or French art dealers committee), an organisation representing the gallery profession in France, and the Association pour la Diffusion Internationale de l’Art Français (ADIAF or association for the international dissemination of French art), which brings together 300 collectors of contemporary art, are keen to reaffirm their complementarity and interdependence.
