1 - Marcel Duchamp Prize
Everyone knows that the health crisis is severely affecting the visual arts and especially visual artists. Faced with this critical situation, the Association for the International Dissemination of French Art has decided to forge ahead and further bolster its support for a French scene that it has always championed with conviction.
“The 20th anniversary of the Marcel Duchamp Prize will provide an opportunity to launch an ambitious programme of exhibitions, in Paris and regionally, which will take on a new dimension, since it will above all be a question of supporting a weakened French scene by highlighting the 80 artists who have received the prize since its creation,” says Gilles Fuchs, President of ADIAF.
On an exceptional basis this year, ADIAF has decided to increase its support to artists and their galleries by a third for the design of the 2020 Marcel Duchamp Prize exhibition at the Centre Pompidou. ADIAF’s contribution will thus amount to €40,000, i.e. €10,000 per artist instead of the €7,500 initially planned.
