Elora Weill-Engerer graduated from Ecole du Louvre (FR), Paris 4 and Paris 1 Universities (FR), in art history and museology. She is currently preparing a PhD thesis on the construction of Roma, Manouche, Gitano and Traveler political identities, through contemporary arts since the 1970s. Art curator and critic since 2016, she is member of AICA and C-E-A board of directors. She has received several awards and grants for her activities, including the Prix Dauphine, Ekphrasis Grant, Prix Point de Vue, Prix AICA-France and Traverses Grant for art criticism. She is preparing an essay on the Austrian Roma artist Ceija Stojka (1933-2013), which will be published in spring 2025.
