2 - International
Until 27th January 2013 in the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park.
Loosely inspired by the American TV series ”Lost”, the exhibition initiates a dialogue between French and Angeleno artists. This first exhibition by the FLAX Foundation (France Los Angeles Exchange), LOST (in LA) is created in partnership with the Palais de Tokyo. The exhibition is part of a project entitled “Ceci n’est pas, l’art entre la France et Los Angeles”, initiated by the French Embassy to the United States and the Institut Français.
Five artists from the Marcel Duchamp Prize, “guest partner” of the FLAX, are on show: Mathieu Mercier (winner 2003), Michel Blazy (nominated 2008), Philippe Mayaux (winner 2006), Tatiana Trouvé (winner 2007) and the 2012 winners: Daniel Dewar & Gregory Gicquel.
A group of collectors from the ADIAF were there in Los Angeles to support the French scene during this event.
